Ok so my local salvage yard had this 06 GT supercharged with the 10 spoke polished wheels and BLACK LEATHER in it. Me and my brother were up there to exchange a tire they had labeled wrong. (Labeled a 225/60 but was actually a 225/50, no biggie exchanged it) I saw this GT and asked how much they wanted for the leather out of it. They said 200 for all the seats...i was like not bad....told em i'd be back up to get them. They also said 300 for the wheels...i was like not bad for that either. This was like the 22nd or the 23rd i think. Pretty sure they were closed the 24th and for sure the 25th and the 26th since it was sunday. Go up monday or tuesday to get them. They tell me I cant have them since someone supposedly wants the whole car....bite my tounge and say ok since they have another gp with grey leather...i figure what the hell. So two days after I got my leather from them the 06 GT is taken off the website(this is when I checked, it COULD have been taken off the day after I went up, I dont know for sure)...this means its being parted out. If it wouldve been bought it would've said "sold thank you" for the listing on their website. So therefore its being parted out.

FFWD to today. Dave (drunkiethebear) posted a link with a part search engine. I think...what the hell im gonna look for some of those 10 spoke wheels since theyre effin cool. I do a search.....and whadya know....the car i wanted the leather and wheels off of is on the freakin website.....the same fvckin number....im pissed they told me i couldnt have the parts i wanted and then took it down to the yard not even two days later.....RANT I'm PISSED cuz i want black leather and pretty wheels and they told me i couldnt have em....i'm callin em monday and askin them to exchange the seats or refund my money.

I probably mispelled some **** since im pissed but i dont care....I didn't space very well either..sorry guys

Sometimes they are lazy and don't want to bother, they could've had a potential buyer but it didn't pan out.

i've had this happen, i just go to town and rip the parts off i want anyways and wait for a idiot at the counter to check me out ;) screw em my money is as good as anyone elses.

At my junkyard theres 4 people that usally work the counter....i usually go to the two on the right...and the one on 3rd spot from the right last....NEVER went to the guy on the very left...looks like he has no clue what hes doing. The guy I usually go to is actually pretty damn cool...the second guy i go to is pretty cool also...third one I go to is older but still knows what hes talking about just like the other two.

Good luck! I bet you don't get the leather exchanged. On a side note how hard its it to swap out to the newer leather seats. My cars been needing a upgrade for quite some time on the drivers side.
 
Front seats bolt in...you have to do a couple wire mods in order for the heat to work and you have to custom do the passenger side heat.

The rear you have to cut out the slots a little bit for the bottom and the top you have to drill 4 new holes.....ill take pics when i do mine.

Well i called and asked for the 2 people i normally go to, one called in sick and the guy that answered doesn't know where the other is....wtf...how can they have 2 people workin the counter all day.

The guy that runs the junkyard by me is a total idiot lol I went in and I asked if they had any 04+ Grand Prixs even though I knew for a fact they did and was only asking because the last time he had shouted at me for not asking if they had what I was looking for. He thought about it for like 15 seconds while smoking a cigarette and staring at his computer screen and then said "....yeah why.." -.- I was gonna get some stuff to do a 5 button DIC swap but idk about it..on the plus side though I did get a wheel nut cover for my friends malibu for $5 there!

I'm a ways away from you..im in the very farthest point south clear down next to iowa and nebraska. I can make it to iowa in less than 5 minutes and into nebraska in under 10. The yard is about 30 miles outside of sioux falls.

I was living in memphis, until about 2 weeks ago. I was in the military here at EAFB from 02-08. My wife is from here, and we moved back due to some major family issues on her side of the family. It was unexpected, and here I am again in SD......
 
Ahh ic...this place is boring lol. I also found out today that i live in the 15th drunkest city in the nation lol
