Sonnex Line Pressure Booster kit?

Has anyone used this in a 4T65E rebuild?

Sonnax - Aftermarket replacement transmission, torque converter, and high performance automotive parts

I've used this in a couple 4R70W ford RWD rebuilds, and it works very well. Stock-ish line pressure at low throttle/loads, and higher pressure when demanded. It is a very progressive pressure rise.

However, I am wondering if its necessary.. I have the DHP powetuner and tiny tuner, so I should be able to achieve the same results with a tune, correct? Or does this sonnex device increase line pressure above what I could do with the tuner..?

I've rebuilt many transmissions before, but getting ready to do my first 4T65E rebuild. I have a burned up core that already has a zzp 4340 input shaft, one piece chain, and hardened 4th clutch hub. It was built locally and burned up within 1k miles. All gears and positions slipped. Not sure what happened, but we'll see.

Thanks for any replies.

We have used several of them since they were made available early this year. It is not a big difference to be honest, the boost valve is only a small amount larger than stock so dont buy it looking for big gains. It does include instructions with tips on clutch feed hole sizes which makes a big difference depending how the shift kit and clutch clearances are set up.

Thanks Trannyman.. Good to know, I appreciate your input.. I'll be sending you an email shortly, need to buy a few things and I always prefer to support a vendor who supports the community, such as yourself!
