Sometimes Can't Get Keys Out

Wondering if anyone else came across the problem I have currently. Probably 50% of the time when I am done driving, an put the car into park. I go to turn the car off, but it doesn't let me get the keys out. Now the trasmission is locked into park, lets me shut the car off, just not take the keys out. Wondering if this is in my steering column, or possible a switch or something down in the shifter? Anyone have any ideas?

Probably the park lock solenoid. Do a search for keys wont come out and you should be able to find a write up on how to take it out.

on my brother in laws grand prix, someone had spilled soda down into the shifter area and it ran down and in. He took some contact cleaner and sprayed it liberally down into the groove(while car was off) and ran it up and down the column repeatedly and when he was done it was problem solved. It is probably very rare that this happens, but it wouldnt hurt to try it.
