im convinced my car is playing games with me, since having my car tuned with a pulley drop, my car has been driving fine normally, shifts normally under all vacuum pressure, except when i boost, cold start (yes i know its bad to beat on a car when its cold) if i boost ( currently making 10lbs) full throttle it downshifts fine and accelerates fast, id say once it reaches about 160* if i hit it, it downshifts but the rpms hesitate for a few seconds and jump and then it finally accelerates fine and makes full boost, it almost makes a purring sound. its very intermittent though, sometimes if im doing 60 and i do a pass to 85 itll shift down no problem no hesitation nothing, other itll almost bog down with the purring sound. i thought it was a trans problem, except every now and then i get an SES flashing light, sometimes cyl 4 sometimes cyl 6, i checked all plugs, wires, and swapped coil packs and it doesnt change the problem.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! :(

u could hook a scan tool up to it and test it though the scanner, if you have access to one other then that i dont know of another way to check them, but i dont really mess trans that much

checked all plugs and wires, the only other thing i can think of is the injectors? could that cause this? ive used injector cleaner, and i normally dont beat on the car til its warmed up, just had to see when it does it and when it doesnt.

who tuned it?

Your misfiring like a mother****er if the ses light is flashing. What kind of plugs are you using and the gap? what mods and fuel pump? Ever change the fuel filter?

Make sure the cat isnt clogged. If youre familiar with how your exhaust sounds then stand back there and it should be quieter than usual

car actually seems louder, for some reason though car has always had alot of backpressure/buildup, exhuast pops alot.

i had a guy on long island where i live tune it, tr6 plugs and the gap is like .30 i think?

stock fuel pump, and fuel filter was changed about 15k miles ago, when he read the numbers he did say i was "close to being maxed out" on my fuel pump. now im not sure what that means, i know a bunch of people running a 3.4 setup on a stock fuel pump

.30 plug gap???:th_lipssealed1: on a blower car?

2 things...

1) Your tuner sucks wang if he is maxing your your factory pump on a 3.4"...your motor is probably flooded and your running richer than sin.

2) Plug gap = .050" - .055", not anything like .030".

The reason the car runs better cold is your knock sensors don't become active until about 160F. Therefore you have no protection against knock. Which is why it's bad to beat a cold car.

If the plugs, coils and wires are good, swap the ICM. It's odd, but I have come across ICM's that weren't firing one cylinder.

wow, thanks to the both of you, the ICM actually could make alot of sense as to why it is bogging alot, and the rpms bounce around at idle, not anything like a bad MAF making it almost stall but id say from 800rpm too 500 then back, kinda feels like its about to die :X

im gonna have my tuner look over the air/fuel, and maybe ill get some new plugs and gap them at .50 instead of .30, i think cyl 6 plug he actually gapped at like .28 :/

i really hope no serious damage has already been done to my car
