• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Someone please help me

I just bought a 2001 pontiac grand prix gtp. I love the car but i have some problems. When i floor it the car feels as if it wants to cut off when the supercharger spins. but if i gas it and the boost gauge does not move at all it will feel fine. i can do about 100 just as long as i dont floor it. I would really like someone to help me. Another problem i have is when i try to go from 0-40 when flooring it. the car shakes violently it sounds like the axles or something. if anyone know what it might be i would apreciate it.

Maybe a tune up will help i dont know. i just want someone to pin point what might be the problemAnother problem i have is when i try to go from 0-40 when flooring it. the car shakes violently it sounds like the axles or a bad rear motor mount because it only does this right when i am taking off and it makes a clunking noise right before i come to a complete stop(sounds like a motor mount). if anyone know what it might be i would apreciate it.

i think you may be rite. ill try that but what about that clunking noise everytime just before i come to a stop or everytime i take off. it sounds like a rear motor mount to me or a cv axle i dont know. any suggestions?

Motor mount or sway bar is a good bet.
Before you go buying parts, check the sway bar end links and mounts.
When the stock rubber bushing's go bad, they clunk and clank all the time.

This is easily all checked by popping the hood and turning the wheel and looking at everything, give it all a good yank and see what moves.
Jounce the car (bounce it up and down) and see if you can pinpoint the direction/corner the noise is coming from.

My suggestion is to look at the car and narrow the noise down.

Doesn't sound like a CV axle,if the whole car jerks a bit it could be the torque converter acting up.

I could go on like this all day.
Pop the hood and look-then post.

if your CV shafts are shot, then more than likely u would have a nice film of grease along your hood. But thats if the boots tore.
