My buddy's gtp did auto cross last year and was beating corvettes,stangs, a few porches how ever you spell it, and some evos.... So with my tank I should do good, specially if I get it planted to the ground like I have been!!! And if you read a few posts back I beat my buddy's auto cross setup camaro ss through a local spot and he has full suspision and 400hp. Sorry I have disleck lol
 
Because you don't drive in a straight line a idiot can drag race a car it takes a driver to do auto cross and pull good times out of it. They didn't put a performance upgraded package on our cars for nothing they wanted a all around sporty 4 door car, drag,auto cross,road course. It's fun to beat 30+ thousand dollar cars in there main sport lol. And the factory drilled rotor with huge calipers were put there for a reason not just to look pretty stoping at a red light lmao

Hahahaha gm didn't make these cars so they would be raced. Those packages are part of marketing to sell the car. No ones going to want to buy the car if they don't have options they can buy too. Now to pass safety regulations and so they don't look stupid they will make these options functional but by now means are these full on race built cars like say an Evo that can go to a rally race on the weekends and then drive to work on Monday all stock.

I'm not saying a Grand Prix can't do that but that's not the initial design.
 
How much did you have to grind the caliper? And I know this not saying its a full on drag car or rally car or anything just saying it funny to watch a 02 gtp beat cars that cost way more then it. Haha and idk how I beat The camaro I did it twice and I'm puzzled. I don't beat him in a straight line that's for dame sure his best time at the track was a 11.9 at 118mph not bad but my trac and stability helps a little I think :) and like swiggles said there are quite a few Gp'a auto crossing around here.
