• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Some more top swap questions! Yay!

If your state doesn't have strict emissions, I would just take the evap purge solenoid off and suitable all the fail codes. It does look real clean.

Im in az and they do have strict emissions. A bent egr tube wouldnt cause this problem would it?

Ok ill think it over and probably get one if the dhp in the classifieds and just borrow someones laptop. On a side note though i just took it for another spin cause i had the evap selonoid plugged in backwards which didnt really do anything but when i pulled up back home the sc was making even more noise then it was earelier for no apparent reason

theres a thread with tablets that work with the tuners. if you got one of them hanging around.

it could if its leaking. now with a tuner you can get rid of it. inspection dont know jack, it shows ready in system, all they care about.

like they pop everyones hood and look for things? you could also block the egr off and leave it in place as a dummy part, aka just for looks.

you can cut the egr hose off so you can get the tab that bolts to the lim and rear header, then rtv a coin under the tab and bolt its back on, dummy the egr back on so it looks like its working.

you can also use some 1 inch wide flat stock, cut to length then drill a hole for the bolt. smear some rtv to seal the plate around the holes.

this is a egr tab and a coin bolted on place same for the header.

Ok i have an extra egr tube so ill probably just do the first one. Also i had an idea if i was getting kr because it was running to rich then couldnt i unplug the front o2 which hypothetically would force a rich condtion and then i could scan and see if i was still getting kr?

O scotty btw im getting really bad gas mileage about 12.5 mpg city compared to my usual 17.5 when i was na. I dont really care but maybe this could help pinpoint the problem?

How would i check for a exaust leak assuming that would cause the kr issue? I cant hear anything atleast like when it didnt hace the front o2 in it lol

Put a rag over the 2 exhaust pipes. Any exhaust leaks will become more present. Have someone cover the pipes, and you listen.

smear rtv on the egr tube thats dented, it will seal up a leak if you have one there.

if you got an exhaust leak you'll hear it.
