Solvent tank+SC case = ?

I have access to a solvent tank that I am going to put my heads in. Is it okay to put the SC case in there? I assume the grease in the bearings is going to go be useless afterward. Do I need to remove the bearings? If so how do I go about this and putting new grease in?

Don't clean the inside of the case. By removing the carbon build up in the compression chamber you'll reduce the sealing of the SC a slight bit. As for the bearings. When I work on a charger, I duct tape over them.

Removal is either done with a blind pilot bearing tool or you drill and tap them under neath and use a grease gun to push them out.

Thanks for the helpful response.

Well see, I just ported it and I sealed of the bearing holes, but there is aluminum dust everywhere. Is there another way to get it off/out?
