Soft brake pedal

I think i know whats going on but id like a second opinion to set my mind at ease. I wont be able to check anything until thursday. Let me preface this by saying... I am an Idiot for doing this, i understand and admit it.
I replaced the LCAs this weekend along with new rotors and pads. While trying to get the piston to retract I tried a lot of different methods. prying against it using pliers pulling it against the rotor, and finally opening the bleed valve, hoping it would release the pressure (it didnt). Finally i went and bought a C clamp which worked however i am now concerned i damaged something.
My guess is that when i opened the blead nipple, i let air into the lines. When i pried against it fluid came out but the piston didnt retract. Or possibly i didnt tighten the valve down enough.
the brakes will lock when the pedal hits the floor almost but it just drops to there.
any thoughts?

you need to bleed that claiper.

fill the master, then have some one pump the brake pedal car off till its got some pressure under it, he holds the pedal down and pushes it to the floor when you open the bleeder valve. you snug the bleeder back up, then the pedal pusher can let the pedal back up. repeat till the pedal is hard. or no more air comes out the bleeder.
