• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

So what's next. :(

For those of you who have "moved on" only because the GP GTP is no longer being made. What did you decide to purchase to replace one of the best (In my opinion) cars available for the price.

I'm at a point where I want to get a different vehicle so I'm not putting a ton of miles on my 40th anniversary GTP. I've been looking at used GTP's but in a way I would like to purchase a new vehicle. I'm so out of touch with what's on the market now considering I've owned nothing but GTP's since 97.

Any suggestions? The only criteria is 4 doors and the same fun factor I'm so used to. :)

Best advice you could be given, is to not buy a brand new car. Let someone else take the hit in loss of value.

I think my next car is an Infiniti G37.

G8,hyundai Sonata turbo, Kia optima turbo, hyundai genesis the 3.8 v6,VW GTI (any year after 05), .... those are some nice 4 doors with potential and some stock pep.

Look around! I honestly really like the Kia Optima turbo like dmahlik said. As well as the G8. I'd prefer the G8 over the Optima... but since Pontiac is no longer around then that's out of the question if you want a brand new car. Remember when you buy a new car that you take a huge hit in value. That's what makes buying a brand used car so good! The value doesn't drop dramatically because it has already been owned :)

If you knew what had been on the market since 97, you might not think the GP is one of the best cars out there. :th_king-normal:

Too many Japanese and Korean cars given as ideas! if I was going to get a foreign car I'd get a Mercedes like this C300 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Sport Sedan | Mercedes-Benz or for more hp this C-Class C350 Sport Sedan | Mercedes-Benz But I was born and raised in Michigan just outside of Detroit and just can't do it.... Even though I REALLY like the Mercedes C300 and C350. My biggest Customer is a Germany company that makes robots and has a whole plant full of their robots in Alabama so I have almost talked myself into it :th_biggrin2: Even though I just about always buy a car two or three years old now.... like stealthee said you can get one about half the sticker price three years old...

That 2014 z28 is looking good. But likely to be up there price wise. The 2014 gti looks promising with 210hp and 258tq.
