Wow I just lost respect for a lot of people right there. How the **** can you guys be so stuck up and ignorant to hope he gets charged with a DUI and then some for just blowing a .02. A DUI is considered a felony and can really have very serious consequences. Shame on you people for thinking he deserves this, when had he been over 21, his actions would have been deemed legal. A ****ing .02 WILL NOT affect your driving whatsoever, hell you wouldn't even have any hint of a buzz with a .02. The legal limit for people of legal age is .08, and that blood alcohol level was made pretty conservatively too, I wouldn't even consider myself "drunk" at a .08. Oh and don't even get into the whole underage drinking thing, I'll bet money that probably each and every one of you drank before you were of legal age also. Furthermore he said he was out in the country and I highly doubt that most of you even know what it's like out in the country. If he lives anywhere similar to where I live, which is out in the country by the way (gravel roads, no stop signs, no traffic, barely any houses, and surrounded by fields), he would never even come close to endangering anyone. Given it is a lot different when you're drinking and driving in town, which I'm assuming most of you people's are basing your experiences and/or judgments on. In town you have the possibility of endangering people because, guess what, there are people there driving, walking, etc... In the country however there are practically no people driving around there, especially at night, and absolutely no one walking around (if there was it would be a little creepy to be honest). So before you guys go off on him, try to understand the circumstances he was in. Put yourself in his shoes is kinda what I'm trying to say.
To the OP. It sucks to hear that the girl wouldn't say that for the cop, you got stuck in a ****ty situation. Hope it all turns out well.
