So i'm thinking about these spyder headlights



they do have flaws despite the high price. be careful with the bracket it is cheap plastic and the tabs that connect to the radiator support can snap off. they do bounce like crazy, and they are a ***** to aim them correctly. i am having thoughts on buying the ebay black headlights and corners and going back to hids, i dunno. another thing...someone on clubgp put tie wraps to secure them to the rad support which sucks because how am i supposed to remove my headlight for the track? i dunno i guess im stuck on a rant
 
The biggest problems with these are vibration and aim. The vibration is easy to fix (foam rubber around the headlight).

As for aiming, the projectors are angled inward to fit in the housing, which means that the beams cross slightly (about 2.5' of beam separation at 25', should be about 4') instead of pointing straight ahead. Some people have also had to use washers to adjust the height. Even with these not being aimed perfectly, visibility is still significantly better than stock headlights.
 
dont have time to look at the pics but talk to drunkenmonkey...as he just installed some on his car not to long ago...not worth it for the price imho...there that much because there basicly the only ones available...so then they jack up the price for them??? not right....any way...thats not going to stop someone from buying them that really want them...and they know that also
 


I was weary about buying a set myself as well, because of how much people are complaining about them and all. Broke down and took a chance and bought a set of back ones.

Installed great, and I haven't even needed to align them yet. So straight out of the box perfect for me.

Only thing I don't like is the vibration like stated above, but its only with my left headlight. Other than that...I love them, and glad I got them. With the stock bulbs in them...100xs better than the stock lights I had. I might add, I had brand new GM capsules too, to get the best light out put I could get over my yellow frosted, spider webbed old ones I used to have, and the light output of these new ones compared to those GM stockers is second to none. Add some HID's to these and wow! :cool:

what kind of foam rubber and from where? i need to fix this bouncing big time
