It seems like a spun a bearing yesterday.

I started to unhook everything so I could pull the motor and might get to it tonight.

I never figured I would have the motor out and cam was the first thing that came to my mind.

If I get a cam it would be the S1X, but what else would I have to do to it? Would it only require new valvesprings?
And could I drive it without a tune for a while. Im in Toledo, Oh which is right in between ZZP and Intense, but they are both about 2 hours away. Or could I get a decent mail order tune.

If I decide to cam I will put headers on it, could I drop to a 3.4 pulley then?

Sorry for all the questions!!!

Parts list
Gasket set, cam, cam bolt and crank bolt, viton valve seals, springs, retainers, rocker bolts. I would get a new timing chain and tensioner since you'll be in there anyway. You'll be fine to drive it for a while as long as you don't get on it. It'll probably throw a p0300 code for random multiple misfire until you get it programmed out.

You dont even need loctite really just get them good and tight. If you want tho put some blue loctite on it.

Loctite yes.

Crank bolt...you basically know its tight when you have a hernia.

Cam bolt...I loctite also...I honestly feel safer knowing it doesn't have that slight change of GOING ANYWHERE. As for the pulley size...a S1X, Header, GenV, tuned car...should run damn well on a 3.4". Start with a 3.8" for good measure and be sure to pick up an MPS system if you haven't already.
