• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

so i got my car dynoed today

Spartan GL

Torque was around 280
Wheel HP was 171HP?!?!?!

Why does that seem extremely low?

I would have expected numbers around the 200whp region with your setup, but the dyno could be reading low as well. There are also a number of other variables why you made that much power.

if your car was properly set up and running a nice healthy 10 PSI on at LEAST 16* of timing you should have been looking at 225 WHP again dependant on the condition of your transmission.

Post a larger picture, that one is tiny as ****

i think he said 3rd shifted too fast for me. but he said i was getting 8*PSI of Boost

and i have NO idea what could be the issue

I would have expected 230-240 with your mods. Torque looks good but hp numbers look like stock NA. Do you have a wideband? I bet it's knocking or your a/f is way off...... or both

171 WHP...ya, that's what 2.2 Cobalt's get then do full bolt-ons like header/intake/intake manifold/bigger tb/tune/catless...you get the picture.

Could be as simple as your spark plugs being out of gap... or a broken transmission. It also sounds like they don't really have an awesome dyno setup.. I usually think anyone that thinks a dyno can be having a bad horsepower day is a complete idiot, but their setup sounds a little cobbled-together (and only maxes out at 400hp?).

I'm just trying to Fathom why it isnt making the power it should be making. i have No codes, its a Custom Tune. its not running odd besides it not being as fast engine sounds healthy

are you knocking?

how much timing are you running?

are you running the 3.4 pulley?

who drove when doing the dyno? did they know what they were doing? did you log AFR?

If the "custom tune" wasn't tweaked from the DHP on the timing side, and if it's not knocking, it should be running about 15 degrees at wot. The boost seems almost in line with headers though, maybe a psi lower than I would expect.

I don't know about DYNOmite dyno's though, could be something there too.
