So tonight I pretty much went all out and ordered everything needed for my cam install and a bunch of other stuff...
Intense is having some pretty good sales up until 12/18, so I figured now was the time to pull the trigger after over a year of contemplation. I purchased the S1X cam for $315, which I feel is a good price for a new cam. Original price is $350. List of parts purchased are as follows:
S1X cam/install kit/bolts
New GM stock timing chain/dampener
Coolant elbows
Manley steel retainers (couldn't justify spending the extra $120 on the titanium)
Viton valve seals
Comp cams valve locks
Casper fuel pump rewire kit
N* throttle body kit w/LQ4 MAF
There are a few other minor things that I didn't list, however all the major stuff is listed for the install. Please let me know if I missed something big. I have a Gen V blower that will be swapped on as well at the same time of the cam install. Planning to run my current 3.4" pulley and stock injectors. Should I invest in better injectors or will the stock ones suffice for now? Also, I will be re-using my stock 1.6 rockers, however I figure it would be cheap insurance to replace the lifters and pushrods with stock replacements. Anyone know where I can purchase these?
