So gas is gonna be $5/gal, and heres why...

Rothschild and Rockefeller run america and the banks. There might be others but I dont remember off the top of my head. Why do you think the banks GOT the bail out?

You don't need no BS write up to tell ya why its going up.. We rely on it, we need gas, therefor it will continue to rise.

Anybody who thinks the government passes laws for the sole purpose of them thinking they're necessary is extremely naive. The government is comprised of people, and people can be bought. I know you're all thinking "well some people don't have a price and refuse to be bought." This is not so; everyone has a price, and anyone who refuses to play ball will simply be moved off the board like a chess piece and replaced with someone else who WILL play ball. These individuals are backed by huge corporations whose only interest is the bottom dollar. This isn't really a conspiracy theory and I'm no conspiracy theorist, nor am I saying that corporations are evil or any of that. I'm just saying that, on the whole, when large institutions do what they do to make money, no matter where it is in the market (take a look at the drug industry -- there's a reason it's called the drug industry and not the medical industry), they typically do it without having the foresight to consider what repercussions it could have on everyone else.

Anybody who is naive enough to believe that this country and all its occupants operate in manners that would never compromise the legitimacy or well-being of anyone or anything seriously needs a wake up call.

I was paying 5.50 USD per US gallon or so all last summer and had no problem paying that.

In Europe gas is MUCH more expensive than North America.

same boat,5.50 a galon it not bad and i wasted alot off gas doing loser laps around town being bored, and trips to the cottage every other weekend, it does suck, but you gotta be smart and fill up on the right days.

Any higher than $4/gal and it is b.s. Say what you want about U.S. having cheap gas prices in comparison, but for those on the lower end of the income level...$4/gal HURTS.

$5/gal is absolutely ridiculous! It should't be higher than 2-2.50, 3 max

You all still pay more for bottled water. I don't let the prices get to me.. It is what it is and it won't change.

The only reason $4/gal seems to cost so much here is because we don't have as many fuel efficient cars as Europe does. Less of them means they're more expensive which means people are more likely to buy a cheaper gas guzzler. In Europe it's not uncommon for cars to average 40-50mpg, and some diesels will average as much as 70mpg. Another reason why many people don't buy fuel efficient cars here in the States is because typically they look less sporty, and as we all know us Americans are very vain and shallow and buy only things that look good. Don't blame gas prices and politicians for the amount you spend on gas, blame your priorities and lifestyle.
