i have my alt off and all the snout bolts removed but the rotors are stuck to the snout so when i ttry to take the snout off to put the new one with the MPS on it the clearance i need to get the snout and rotors slid out hits the alt bracket...is it acuatll connected if not how do i detach it? is it easier to just remove the whole blower? (if i could remove jsut the snout i can leave the blower on ....but i cant seperate the blower and snout...

The snout just comes off. the only thing holding it on is the coupler inside, and a make shift seal they put on it from factory.

Here is what is inside:

hope that helps

See the top of the blower between the rotors and snout, there are indents on it. Use those to push the snout off the rotor pack.

Not sure how pulling a fuel rail, EGR/map bracket, TB, coolant and alternator then 10 bolts holding the snout is easier than only the 10 bots holding on the snout, but whichever method works best for each person right?

Its hard to get a good seal on the backside of the rotor pack is what he was trying to say. Good time to port and polish!!
