Smoking down track and backfiring???

I was at the track today and during my last run when I was coming back I saw that there was a bunch of smoke down my lane. Then I pulled over to see what the problem was and revved it up under the hood to see if more smoke would come out and i revved it to the limiter once and it backfired. Also a few times of sounded like there were rocks in the supercharger. What do you guys think the problem is?

Thanks ahead of time

Sounds like you blew a head gasket, and the miss firing is from the one or more of the plugs is soaked in coolant. I could be wrong though. And the OP stated Inter cooler which seems more like you problem. Is it smoking white from the tail pipes also?

X3 on the IC. The SSIC is known for warping and cracking...and especially when it gets hot...so it just makes sense it happened at the track. Perfect time to upgrade to a Stage 2 core

I don't think (hope) it was the intercooler breaking cause I've got clear hoses and i can see that there's still fluid flowing through it.

As for the smoke it only happens at full throttle and it comes out the tail pipes but i think it might be gas.

Also I checked the headers for an exhaust leak because of the backfire and one of the header bolt was very loose.

What kind of timing and AFR are you running? My car would smoke on my narrow band tune because it was so fat. It was never bad enough that I could see a trail after I turned around but I could see a trail in the rear veiw. After widebanding and seeing my afr was in the 10.8 range and getting the afr to a more leaner 11.8 theres no trail anymore

Well im not sure what timing im running i've got the BASIC basic zzp pcm 1.0 so whatever it says on their website is what I've got

Nope but when we put them in we unplugged the pcm for bout an hour then plugged it back in so it would automatically adjust for them.

I told you that isn't how it works. You HAVE to have the fuel tables for the 42.5lb injectors downloaded to your current bin file in your PCM. Unplugging your PCM for awhile RESETS your fuel trims...not lets it download the right table. I told you in order to run those injectors it HAS to be tuned for...which means custom.

Ding ding ding. Theres the issue. Way over fueling from not having the correct IFR tables. Get the injectors tuned my friend.

Alright great thanks man i've been meaning to get a new pcm for a while. I was thinking of getting an overkill one, what do you suggest

With your mod list Id recommend you get a hp tuner and start reading lol. I hope you atleast scan for KR and such

Yeah see I don't have the money for an hp tuner lol 500 bucks is a little out of the price range right about now considering im a cashier at kroger and make 7.85 an hour
