Smell...

Okay, I have been chasing a smell of antifreeze from my driver side of my engine bay... I only smell it when the car warms up and when I'm standing next to it, or lift the hood. I just had new Gaskets (LIM and Upper) new injectors, and new throttle body gasket put in. I have new hoses upper and lower. I'm not losing any significant amount of coolant. I have no white smoke from exhaust (except for startup on wet mornings... steam...) Where the hell am I getting the smell from?

Any ideas would be helpful...

Feel under the throttle body for coolant. If yours is a GT, look at the side of the UIM where it bolts to the TB. And feel under the upper radiator hose. I had a small coolant leak from the upper hose. I just pushed it farther up the housing.

Rent a coolant pressure gauge from autozone and hook it up. If it starts to lose pressure then you have a leak. Then you can go to Napa and they sell coolant dye that you can put in. Drive around for a day, hook the tester back up to find the leak.

Since you're smelling it it's probably hitting the motor somewhere and burning off.

I have a 99 GTP. Is it common for the coolant line of the TB to leak by chance? That would be dripping right over the Exhaust over pipe...

theres no line, but coolant flows to the tb via the blower, so the tb would be leaking and wet at the gaskets seam and bottom of the tb.

Thermostat housing? Bleeder screw?
I rebuilt my motor then like a month later had the issue you are describing. the thermo gasket just wouldn't seal for me I ended up putting a new gasket in then using gasket maker on the whole mating surface to keep it dry.
