SLP 85mm Maf vs GM 85mm Maf

Anyone have a preference between the two? Which is more easier to tune?

I'll be running it with my N* TB with my New setup on my 00' Buick Regal GS

Both the GM LQ4 and SLP Maf are 85mm so the one that is easier to tune and flows the best is my concern.

Thanks guys.....

Get the LS7 card maf there like 30-40 bucks and you can place it in anyhousing that suits your needs. its also more accurate than than the previous 85mm mafs

This is what I was told by one of the 3800 vendors...

The LS7 Maf sensors are "credit card" sensors that need a housing to mount them in, typically a 100mm (4") housing. They are quite a lot more sensative to turbulance. I know of very few L67's that require this type of setup'. They do take a lot more tweaking with the calibration to get things happy.

Its not per say a ls7 specific the card maf is in everything from a 2.4 ecotec to a 7.0 ls7 . turbulence isn't a issue if you install correctly and have a airflow straightener. There's a reason people switch from the 85mm made to card mafs . just food for thought though. You can always use the 85mm mad or ls1 if you so choose.

yeah the LS7 Maf is used in a lot of applications from 4cylinders to SuperCharged V8s. Honestly I just want a Maf with plenty of flow capability and accuracy. Im sure the LQ4 and the other commons are plenty for what im pushing and Im not doubting that. One of my main concerns was trying to fit whichever MAF I use in between my CAI and the Northstar throttle body. Check it out, Gen5 and N* TB is not on yet but you can see the small amount of space I have. I was thinking the SLP Maf would take up less space than the GM 85 mm LQ4

yea the common 85mm maf is pretty tried and true as is the card maf, the best thing though about the card maf though is will fit in your intake tube without taking up any space.

So the LS7 Maf will fit in my intake tube??? heres my limited amount of space, ment to post it in my last post. LOL not much space at all

hey is that heat shielding on the cross over? and i like your engine cover.

also, your gonna have to say bye bye to the air box

Well the headers were ceramic coated (TOGS) bout to get them recoated and directly above the cross over is just your famous ole throttle body heat shield.

Oh and figured the CAI would have to go....got dammit
