Slow Start Up

Hey everyone, so 2 weeks ago something happened. I come out to my car after work and start my car up, but it like choked itself real slow before turning over. I have a 2003 grand prix gt by the way. As some of you might know, when you start the car the engine revs up to 2000 rpms before settling in at 1000. This time it barley started up at about 500 rpms and got to 1000rpms and sat there. When the engine is still warm it should do that, but very quickly. This wasn't quickly like that, and the engine wasn't warm either. 2 weeks later (today) and the exact same thing happened. I washed the car, started it an hour later, then I started it again half an hour later, and finally when I started it 3 hours later it did this funky start. Both of the first two start ups and every other between that 2 week period were perfect. The battery is about 3 years old (got a good one), and the car runs great. It's just that weird start up that seems to happen every 2 weeks now. Any idea what it is? I don't want to act on this too late and then one day it doesn't start up and I'm stranded.
Your help is much appreciated!

Hard to say exactly why it's doing it.

But you could try cleaning the throttle body and IAC sensor aswell as the MAF sensor. It might help.

Otherwise I tie hard starts or long extended cranks to a fuel pressure regulator on it's way out.

I cleaned the throttle body 2000 miles ago (it was FILTHY lol). Haven't cleaned those senors yet.
It's just odd that it happens 1 out of 30 starts. If it was a fuel pressure regulator problem, wouldn't that happen more frequently than twice a month?
