Sloppy Transmission Shifts, HELP!!

Re: Trans Slips in 1st from a stop (Update last few posts)

lulz. well i'm still gonna take it to KCGP...hope like hell it makes it. seeing as it will be in 4th most of the way it'll be a good chance i'll be alright.

so Bill, the 1-2 slow shift thing isn't very present anymore. wonder what the whole slipping out of 1st and banging back in is exactly. it only does it from a dead stop. im just so upset...idk how im gonna afford a rebuild, i dont even know how bank loans work :(

Well..if you are nice. I'll tell you about a guy name 2003 SSEi who ...yep 2003, you got it. He's playing around with something like 3 transmissions as the moment. Maybe he's got something that'll work for you.

And..watch this..in record time..he'll reply in this thread. Just by mentioning his smelly name.

If you have a firestone near you and the transmission has under 150,000 on it, they'll do a transmission flush. That'll flush out the entire system, push out any contaminants or blockages, and possibly fix your problem for a while at least. If no firestone, I know other shops do it, I just have a firestone by me who I took a dodge avenger to once to have that done. You might want to call around about that in your area.

Sounds like your forward apply band is going or input clutch piston

Re: Trans Slips in 1st from a stop (Update last few posts)

Yeah maybe. I'm sorta opposed to the flush. Just gonna stick to pan drops. It never seen any tranny maintenance until 100k miles so i'm a little leery of it.

And yeah maybe one of those two. Someone also mentioned MAF sensor as it relates to tranny fluid pressure. Cleaned it today so we'll see. Didn't miss a beat coming home today. And someone also mentioned the pressure control solenoid going. but in all honesty i think it's a hard part like you said a band or piston. but we'll see.

if it still acts up and anyone wants to drive it in kcgp they're welcome to.
