My old tranny bit the dust, and I have always wanted a manual. I also love a good challenge, and three different guys at work told me that it wasn't possible. I don't know about you, but sometimes the best encouragement is being told that is can't be done.

Oh yeah, I would have to agree with that. Im watching the thread as well out of curiosity. Would be interesting to see how it all turns out.
 


I have made a lot more progress. All I am waiting for now is the flywheel. Having a clutch pedal on the floor makes me grin everytime I see it.
 


Well I commend you on tackling this task. For all the talk of how difficult it is (and I have no reason to doubt that) and for all the dissuasion you will find when you ask about doing a manual swap you went ahead and tackled it anyway and I like that. I like that you're doing it, that you have kinda kept everyone updated and it looks like you had enough confidence and fortitude to do it and see it through.

So my hats off to ya and I look forward to seeing it running and some more pics and videos maybe. Even if it were to flop on its face (and I see no reason why it would) you at least took on the challenge to find out.
 
Looks awesome! I will be interested to see how it turns out. Will you have to do something with the pcm since it's supposed to be working with the auto tranny?
 
Generally auto pcm's can work with manuals transmissions but not the other way around. Ideally it would be good to change idle RPM's ect.

I will be. There is a guy around here that will tune it for me when it is all done.
 


Man I can't wait until your done and see how that baby's going to do. I also have to give you mad props for taking on a project like this. Awsome job man!!!
