• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Site won't load half the time

I have only recently been visiting this site and I am having a problem with it that I was wondering if anyone else is having. About half of the time, the site just doesn't load. I go to the home page and get an error. I click on "try again" (Firefox) or refresh NUMEROUS times and it just doesn't load. I then try to click on the link from my favorites again and all of a sudden, now it loads. Surf around the forums for five minutes and then suddenly, it won't load again. Use the back button and get the same error. Open another tab to surf a different site, come back to this one, refresh, and it works fine again. This has been going on for two weeks or so. Even did it while I was trying to post this thread.
 


Well the options offered are not reasonable for me. I won't change browsers because of a problem with only one site that I have ever visited. Also, I can't surf during the day because I work for a living. The problem is with the site. Maybe the server can't handle the volume of evening surfing. Oh well, it's not costing me anything. When I get too frustrated, I just go somewhere else.
 


Problem is not the server or the chatbox. issue is we are getting spam bots pounding the site trying to register so they can post about porn or cellphones etc.
 
^^I'd rather not be able to get on the site for a day then deal with that crap in every section...a thankya
 
so does the whole site go down compelty or is there a back way in that we could use. it gets a little frustrating. i mean come on with out this site I might accually get more school work done and we cant have that
 
the goal is to keep it from happening. but i don't always on the site to see the load error message on the screen.
 


i don't know what the deal is i'm on a proxy atm thats the only way i have been able to access the forums from home, and that means no chatbox :(
i reset my modem and its still not loading it gave me a different ip adress and everything still won't load, and i use the forums alot its really starting to get me angry
 
ROFl I thought I was banned since I checked the downforeveryone site and it said the site was up.

Been down for me till now...

Just happened again... I know first hand hosting isn't cheap but even some crappy home server sites are more reliable. No offense :P

If you give me exact instructions on how to do that I will give you what it says every single time it does it if it will help yo figure out the problem
 
Yesterday around 5 and again at 10 central it said site was not found. I'll document it next time with those cmd instructions ya gave.
