single to dual exhaust

I looked everywhere and could not seem to find the answer, so im hoping some you guys may know. I have an 08 base with single exhaust. I recently went to the junk yard and found a 98 monte carlo with a very clean dual exhaust. I know the cat back from the monte wont fit on my gp, but will the "y pipe" on back fit? Im 50% sure they will but wanted to see if anyone else knew for sure.
 


I couldn't take the wait to see if it would fit so I bought the it, and put it on. It fits the gp to a "T". I needed a driver side exhaust hanger and that was even the same... The only thing that I don't like is the tips hang a little lower than I would like, but for 40 bucks, I cant complain!
 


we have owned 6 gp's in 8yrs. 1 intrigue too but that dont count. muffs rusted off 1 car so we got an intrigue exhaust for $12 at boneyard. purrs like a kitten. found a 02 monte ss last week with nice chrome single muff tips for same price. too bad tips would look odd in bigger gp bumper. muff, resonator, flange, even got the rear oxy sensor. yard cuts pipe right behind cat so flange is usually untouched.
