single din deck on 04+ monsoon help!

Hey guys I have two questions. First is can us 04+ guys get a signle din aftermarket deck with the single din dash kit from crutchfield (dash kit specific to 04-08)? The reason I ask this is because crutchfield says that this signle din deck I have "is not compatible" with my 04 gtp?? so will it work?

Second question:

is a little more difficult maybe someone with more experience can help. I want to retain my steering wheel controls. seems the only way to do this is to get an adapter. Im looking at a pac adapter. The aftermarket deck I have says it may be used with a wireless remote. Now does this mean the deck has wireless infra red??? (this is needed to install the wheel control adapter). Once again on crutchfield it says that my deck does not support wheel control adapters but yet supports wireless remotes. I emailed PAC directly and they said that the pac module should work if my deck supports infra red wireless remotes. (crutchfield says wireless remote optional for my deck!!)

Please help!
 


I had a single din Pioneer set up with the peswix. It sounded like garbage with the monsoon speakers.
Unless you're going to wire the amp out and replace the speakers you will be disappointed.
 
I am planning on running a single din flip out pioneer deck with 2 12 inch subs, right now I am using the 2 subs on stock deck. I know for a fact with an aftermarket HU, it will sound a lot better...back to my question will a pac module work for sure for wheel control??
 
Yeah it works you have to program it and splice it into your 12v power source.
But what I'm saying is, the deck w/ factory monsoon amp & speakers sounds terrible. Absolutely terrible.
I ended up putting the factory deck back in because I couldn't take it and didn't feel like replacing all the speakers.
 


Yes a single din HU will fit with proper mounting bracket unless it is too deep ( that probably why Crutchfield says it will not work). And also steering wheel controls will work with the pac swix but you have to find a place for the LED transmitter, somewhere where it can see the HU hope that makes sense.
