Who's got the red GTP 4 door with the side molding removed?? I remember seeing it.

Can anyone provide me with that picture???

Damn thats a nice gp! I was thinkin about takin my molding off. Prolly the same way you would take off emblems right?
 
I am working on it right now. Gotta fill the holes. Don't want to put up any pics of it until that is done. Looks pretty good so far.
 
If you do it right, body filler can be used. I would recommend welding them up if you have someone you can trust. If not done right, you'll end up with warped door skins or they burning bigger holes in it. I use body filler for mine, but it's up to you on which.
 


I can weld the holes myself, Id rather use body filler though. Ill give it a try, if the body filler doesnt work out, then I will went the holes.

The best way I've found to do it, is take a ball peen hammer and hit right on the hole to make a small dent. That way when you sand it smooth, your not sanding it down to the edges of the hole. It''ll leave you a nice thin layer over it creating basically a plug. Just some food for thought if you didn't know already.
 


Do it right and weld the holes shut.

Bondo/Body Putty is made for filling in very low shallow spots you cant work out with a body hammer. The object of the game when using putty or filler is to keep it as thin as you can so it does not break out. But to each is their own on that. Just suggesting.

Welding on these newer cars, with much thinner metal is easy, and the same way you would do any other car, but it just takes longer to do. You have to give it a short burst, wait till it cools, and then do it again, and again and again till your done. if you do it too fast, then you will warp the metal as stated above. Getting that fixed can be quite challenging.

definitely makes the doors look cleaner.

ive been seeing alot of people painting their rides in flat colors no clear coat or just primer. whats the deal? are we preparing for Armageddon? did i miss that memo? i mean my old school chevy truck looks mean as hell in flat black, but on a ferrari? or a BMW? why?
