• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

A guy i know just picked up a new 2012 tundra 4x4 ext cab with the supercharged set up, they say it puts out 500hp at the crank, anyway hes pretty cocky about it and trys to race everyone that has a fast/somewhat fast car, anyway the other day i posted on my facebook that my buddy was trying to sell his 550hp foxbody all set up for the track and the first thing this guy says is lets race... i think are you stupid and at the time i didnt know his truck was boosted anyway i returned with, that mustang will put bus lengths on you but ill race you in my grand prix... i might have just screwed myself into a race that im going to get wasted in... i was just curious of your guys opinions, hes stock with the TRD factory s/c kit, i have intake, headers, downpipe, 3.4 pulley, overkill tune, street tuned with an with one of those afr guages, 3.23 gear ratio and some little stuff like plugs and a t-stat anyway if it helps my motor from s/c to oil pan might have 13k miles on it and runs like a top, i figure he will own me from 0-60 but much after that i think i could catch up to him

i should add that awhile back i raced an 06+ SS impala and other then him getting a jump on me we stayed about dead even and that was before the 2nd tune... if that helps get an idea on the acceleration of my gp

i work at a toyota dealership and I'm not sure how you'll do to be honest. those trucks HAUL ASS! i realize they are heavy but they get up and go and I've only driven the non supercharged trucks

You are honestly pretty screwed. My friend's dad has one of the supercharged Tundras and it's ****ing fast. If you get a perfect launch and his reaction time is bad you might have a chance.

better borrow some slicks off one of your friends lol. but really who cares its a tundra thats stock he bought it off the lot and wants to race he probably dont know **** about cars

How much kr are you seeing on your setup? If it's a few degrees you could put a few gallons of race gas in your car to get rid of it and be a little faster.

An intercooler and rockers and pulley drop could be done over a weekend. But don't be downhearted, I can fix it for you, sonny
It won't take too long, it'll just take money. Alan Jackson.

Ha ha you guys put a smile on my face, I thought he wanted to race Sunday but it looked like he was busy, although I'm not complaining!!! Anyway I guess I didn't know my car could pull low 13s with it set up, and in response to who was asking about my kr, when I hate it street tuned it pretty much had none other then 1-2 on shifting, but also that was in 60* temps not around 100* so I figure a little bit of kr is more then possible

You're going to get creamed, honestly. Those trucks do run LOW 13's and trap 106-107 mph. Your GTP is probably in the high 13's with a good launch and traps 98-100 mph. He will run away from you like you're parked, after you hit 2nd gear.

Maybe ask him to race you in 2WD instead of 4WD from a dig. That would really be the only chance you have. Otherwise I would invest in a cam, IC and some DR's.

Uh I raced a ss impala too and my race went pretty much like yours and I'm basically stock. Was the impala modded?
