Should I race him?

A buddy of mine really has been nagging at me for a race that puts my 2000 GP GT up against his stock 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GT. The Tiburon is an automatic V6 car, but he has lots of stereo equipment in it, 3 subs with boxes to be exact...Do you guys think I could take him?

Talk about the slowest race ever. My motto: Ill race anything with wheels. So if some guy in their riding lawnmower want to race , I'm all for it, if some guy and his Ferrari want to race i'm still for it. Win or loose it was fun. Race him, loose, then topswap the GT.

The v6 Tiburon makes 172 HP and 181 TQ car weighs about 3,100 pounds. If he has heavy stereo equipment his weight will be closer to the Grand Prix. With it being an automatic I would say you can take him.

Just do it then tell us what happened instead of asking if you should or not. I'll race anyone that wants to race whether I know I'm gonna get killed or not because in the end, it's just an old Buick, I have nothing to lose.

This, who cares if you win or loose, if you dont put money on it, your not out anything.

Just race him.

Who cares.

What's the fun in racing if you already knew the outcome?

My guess is you'll take him off the line, but his dual cam business will pull you up top. Even though it's only a 2.7 or what not.

Well, I think I'll see when we can get this thing done lol. I'm pretty confident that I can take him, he's a pretty crap driver, and he has all that stereo equipment. I will have vids to post, and I'll tell y'all when we go for it.

i agree that slow races are more fun because they last longer, but we've nearly eclipsed a whole page of debate about the subject when in reality it's within none of our interests to even know the answer.
