ben serching and cant find any shops in the nj area that work on the 3800 supercharged motors. i wanna do a couple of performance mods and want them done right you know. does anyone know of anybody that does great work or any shops? any info would be greatly appriciated thanks

If you are wiling to drive to 06082 aka Enfield CT, I'd be happy to help you. If you are looking for someone in NJ, contact NightHwk12

ct is a couple hours from me.. but thank you very much for the help. when im ready to start ordering parts i will be sure to contact NightHwk12. hopefully he can help me out.

bill is 1.5 hr (150 miles) away from northern jersey. I've been to Bills for help.

you'd be hard pressed to find any one as nice and as knowledgeable as Bill. its worth the trip.

and Bill's prices are more than reasonable.

lol yeah you were a huge help. your the only one who has touched my car other than the alignment shop.

i do my damn-est to do as much of my own work as possible, trans swap would have taken me forever.

and lets face it, you make it look easy. i never saw a shop do a fwd trans in 4 hours. i tell people and they all look at me like im lying too lol or i get a, that's quick from them.

1.5 hr isnt that bad. i figure im gonna probably drop a 1000-1500 under the hood. any suggestions?:th_biggrin2:

yes, any suggestions as to what parts i should purchase? as stated im most likely going to drop 1000-1500 under the hood for some more gettey upp.

so assuming you are doing the work whats a ballpark figure i should be looking at? i want more boost but i also want to do it the right way with suporting mods. so how far do you think 1000-1500 would get me labor included?

ive read the great write up of how to saftly mod these motors. im just trying to see how far 1000-1500 could get me with labor included if you were doing the work.

Justin here. I've been well verse watching bill make 3800's special. Been to his house multiple times and helped and watched many modding sessions. Funny part I've worked on other people's cars more at his house than I have had him work on my own ha.
Just to let you know what I have done which might interest you.
On others.
Gen III to Gen V swap including modding the LIM
Engine pull for a cam swap
Non modding Maitanence. (i.e tune ups, suspension, ect)
All these cars are running strong on the road.

On my car own car. (97 Bonneville SE)
Swapped in a Series III, GT2 cam swap, LS7 lifters, LS6 valve springs, self P&P lower intake, and replaced the heads.
Converted from a 4t60 to a 4t65-HD
Waiting in the wings are headers, full 3" exhaust, and a Series III upper with a N* and HV3 (waiting to get out of my sling from shoulder surgery)

I have a tuner but my abilities are not super strong yet but we will be able to keep the car happy.

Bill is a monster in the 3800 field. I haven't gotten my trans swap times down to 4 hours yet. But a nice perk is my zip code is 07748.

thats a nice list of mods man. sorry i should have stated im new to this scene. this is my first pontiac and supercharged car. i usually do most of the work on my cars but i dont even know where to begin on the gtp lol.. i have some money left over and wanna play a bit. i guess im just trying to see whats the best bang for the buck mod wise. i have like a grand-1500 to play with

im allways down to listen, learn and turn some wrenches :th_thumb-up: wondering is there any place in jersey you guys meet up for some car talk?
