Shocks and struts

Hello all. I am looking to replace my front shocks and struts, but am having issues finding replacements for my 18" wheels. Will the shocks and struts for 17" wheels work? Or does somebody have a suggestion of where I can find them for 18" wheels? Thank you

More responses with more info.is kinda the way it works.

You can put any dang thing on your ride 97-08....If you have an 04-08,the fronts from 04-around06 are tricky.
If you have a 97-03 buy whatever makes your heart and pocketbook go pitter-patter...
I still don't understand the whole wheel size thing unless its bull$hit....then I do

Now about the height and ride thing...thats where it gets more interesting

****edit...oops, noticed this is a bilstein thread....Big dolla(Bilstein) and one choice(Bilstein) because those GXPs only have 18" wheels....dem yellow ones for struts(Bilsteins)

Thanks for the help. I did some more research after I posted this thread. That is also what I found out. Found out that they are active struts. A local dealer had them for 450$ each. Looks like I will be waiting to do them lol. When it's time I will look into getting a universal that will be cheaper. Not that I am looking to get the cheapest part I can find, but 450$ a strut is nuts! Thanks for the response.

Use your old springs and buy some AC Delco FE3(from 2004 or 2005 compg) struts or some KYB Excel-Gs
 
You can't even get the Bilsteins anymore...they're discontinued.

Or you can send them back to Bilstein to get them re-valved...its only like a grand :)
 
Bilstein replacements are

ACDELCO 505549
ACDELCO 505548

but they are expensive i will warn you. Don't know where everyone keeps getting the idea that they are discontinued, two guys just bought sets a couple months ago on ls4 performance.

because you think that you tell people they are discontinued? they are in fact, bilstein struts repackaged by acdelco, they have bilstein stamped right into the casing.
