Shifting gears manually

Does it hurt my trans to shift gears manually instead of automatic? Sometimes I do that, start from 1, then 2...3 but I always wonder if, since I have an automatic trans and I do the shifts manually may hurt my trans?

you shouldn't do it at all

You will actually decrease your line pressure in the trans by doing that which slows down the shift time.Leave in drive for the best performance.
