so my 2004 GTP comp G just hit 150,000 yesterday and today the shift solenoid A **** the bed code P0753.. anybody got any info this ... and or how to fix it or how much.. is my tranny all done .. or does it still have some life to ... any info will help??

This codes refers to the 1-2 shift solenoid. Be sure to check all fuses first. Specifically the
"TCC" fuse in the underhood fuse block.

If that is ok, 2 things possible. Either you have a connector problem at the 20-way
transmission case connector causing this code, or the solenoid. The solenoid is on the
valve body in the side case of the trans.
Suggest disconnecting trans. connector with key off, look at all terminal, pull the harness
a little so as to change its position, then plug it back in. Clear the codes and drive it.

Al.. I have a test box that I make to command the soleniods directly w/o the pcm or any other nonsense. That would give you ability to test it out. Also..it's only a few hours to swap that out. Lower that side of the sub/drivetrain and sneak the cover out, flip in the new soleniod and presto.

One of these links should tell you what ohm reading to get off teh soleniod. http://www.grandprixforums.net/trans-info-links-42428.html Check to see if you are getting an open. Check that the pin at the 20 pin connector isn't pushed back etc.
