shaking steering wheel after wheel bearing replacement



I had almost the exact same problem. I replaced my front left bearing, and a couple of days later I had a small vibration. I thought the car wash had knocked off a wheel weight, or worse that my new hub was bad. Then I drove almost 2000 miles in the next 3 days. By the time I got home, the small vibration was really bad. Some how my bad bearing (mechanically loose, not a sensor failure) messed up my alignment, and the result was this on my *REAR* tire. I was positive that I was going to find something wrong with the front end suspension or wheels themselves. I got 4 new tires and an alignment. Also had the crappy power stop front rotors turned as they had brake pulsation. Now everything is buttery smooth.

 
seems the 04 up cars have a camber issue and wear out like that on the inside of the tire all the time. not a hub issue at all. defiantly not related to a front hub.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, that's actually my point. I think the hub messed up the alignment (or it was just off as the hub let loose), and the new hub made it more obvious since the front tire wasn't wagging around anymore. Which may have lead to one rear tire severely wearing suddenly. Could have all been a coincident for all I know.
 
not a chance, that back wheel had its own issue for sure.

each wheel has its own alignment, the front being out wont hurt the rear like that.
