Our Grand prix 2002, has 171000 miles, gt, shacks when accelerating above 50 mph. We believe it might be some loose fenders. the front one has a nice hole. But could it be something else. any suggestions

Shaky you mean? Your fenders have nothing to do with it. Check over your suspension

A bad tire, out of balance tires, broken suspension parts are the likely problems.

I had the a similar problem except mine was shaky, turned out to be a fine crack in the front sway bar

Like five said. Most likely tire related. If it suspension related there's a good chance the front lower control arm front bushings are loose. After those things are checked/fixed it could come down to the axles.

Check your front wheel bearings as well for play. Jack up each side and pull/push on the tire at the 12 and 6 o'clock position. If there is a lot of play, then bearing is shot.

If you find it's the axle, then go with Napa Gold ones, as they seem to last longest and are better made for our cars.
