ok so i have a bit invested in my engine/trans on my car I know its nothing special but I have put a lot of wrench time in on it
Theres a guy in my class who found out his pistons were shot on his 350 csb he was building so he scrapped it 2 weeks later brings in a crate engine and his 65 chevy and starts talking made sh1t bout how his truck will smoke my gp

Probably will the engine was beautiful and probably pushing close to 500hp
But he didnt build it even though he told the class he did, and he just kept running his mouth

I hope his fuel lines leak and the damn thing burns to the ground with him in it

I hope theres a special place in hell for all the worlds sh1t talkers....
 


maybe he'll blow it up. if its 500 hp, in a truck u know it'd be hardto hook up. is this a street driven truck? u know, not tubbed, 12" tires...etc
 
its a street truck when he drove it out the rears were rubbing the bed of the truck its a beat of an engine though he will probably wreck it just pisses me off hes talking so much crap I never said i wanted to race my car nor did i challenge him he just saw the cam go in and the blower and asumed i think its badass
 
let him have his 500 hp. i got seat warmers...lol. sorry but when its cold as hell...

To push 500 horse out of a 350 you'd be stressing the **** out of it. It wouldn't be worth it.

If you wanted 500 horse out a SBC go for a 383 stroker.

If you wanted more N/A power go for a BBC.

Regardless, the guys a douche and a ****ing idiot.
 


it was a 383 stroker and ironically a buddy of mine has a 65 with a 383 and this douche was talking **** to him to
I kinda just laugh at the guy but still anoys the hell out of me
 
i hate the 350, the LS motor is king. just throw that in his face. i have a friend with a 350 irocz he swears up and down the 350 is the best. after working on LS motors now for 3 years i dont even feel like a 350 is worthy of my touch :D

350 isn't that great, you have to go 383 if you want any power out of a SBC, but thats where the BBC takes over...

LS motors are just that much more expensive to build hence people still preferring the old school SBC.
 


LS motors arent that much more. hell a 5.3 truck engine is a great platform and they can be had for plenty cheap. like any build it comes down to how much you want to spend and how fast you want to go
 
350 is an all around good base engine, you can do anything with them. there's currently over 90 million units out there
 


I had a 1997 yukon, that I put a crap load of money into, intake headers, exhaust. it was a good looking truck, had a ton of torque, but it wouldn't move out of its own way. LS motors are boss, but we all know an L67 with a little work can be just as boss.
 
You were that gullible that you actually believed him when he said he had a 500hp SBC? For $6 and an internet purchase I can have a V6 with a sticker on it that says the same thing...
