Sexy engines and engine bays

First off, it's CamAro.

And now for the real lesson, this owner has put a lot of good effort into his thirdgen. He installed an LT1 intake onto his prior TPI intake. He did not swap the entire engine because distributors did not come on LT1 cars. Doesn't take a lot to cut a hole in the back and create the fuel lines to get it in. Was all the rage 5-10 years ago. I've been out of third gens for about 6 years now, so I don't know if the guy that was doing the mods is still doing them.

too bad we don't have a better, non blurry pic :( (oh, is that yours?)

Thanks! That's my 87 Camaro IROC. I have put alot of time into it. And got to still put alot more into it again. lol. The engine is out of an 89 Corvette with the aluminum heads. The intake is a TPIS mini ram. Also has a Comp cam 502, and SLP 1.75 headers into a GMMG exhaust. It's a fun car when it runs. Has a 6 speed out of an 93 Z28. LS1 brakes on all 4 corners and every bit of the suspension was changed to aftermarket. Just got new rims on with a set of 275/40/17 Goodyear GSD3's. Been to busy with the other "project" to spend time on this one. Found me a 99 Pontiac Montana minivan to put the motor and trans in it from my wrecked GTP. So far it runs and drives. But I think the tranny might be taking a ****. Got to look into it a little more. Adam :-)

A non blurry pic of the Camaro with new valve covers.

I know who you are. And I'm EVERYWHERE. lol

Ive gotta see some videos of this Montana
Videos will be awhile. Still working out the bugs. Transmission is being a pain. The 3000 stall converter is not working right and I think it's making a bunch of noise. So I'm going to try and swap the stock one back in and see if that helps. If not looks like I'll be looking for a new trans.

Why didn't you think I was going to do it. I've done dumber things. lol. Of course this one of the best of the "Why would you do that" things I have done lately. And I have a friend that loves this thing. He was thinking of doing the Oldsmobile silhouette.
