Seven Pounds

Okay, So just got done watching "Seven Pounds" it has Will Smith in it. I didn't want to watch it because it seem to be like a love story and well I HATE movies like that. I know everyone else has there opinions on movies but this was a good movie. Just wondering if anyone else watched it and liked it?

I saw, I thought it was OK. The part I thought was best was when they showed the heidelberg windmill press, 'cause I actually used to run one of them. The ending really puts it together and I thought was the best part, besides the press part :) I'd give it 1 thumb up.

I really liked it... but then again i like anything with will smith in it. He has kinda been my idol since i was a kid.

Ya, I will agree Will Smith is a VERY good actor...most movies I have seen him in are action so to see that was WAY different! But still good!

I can't figured out the Pounds in the title... I know where the Seven comes from but I have no idea about the other part.

Also, when he was talking to the hospital administrator; what did he need? He seemed healthy to me and he obviously couldn't give him the extension because he wasn't a real agent. Anybody help me figure that one out?

Screw it, I'm gonna have to look it up now...

Will Smith is reported to have confirmed that the title refers to Shakespeare's The Merchant Of Venice, in which a debtor must pay a pound of flesh.[9] In this case it amounts to parts of his body donated to seven persons deemed worthy by Smith's character. They are the recipients of his heart, a lung, part of his liver, and his eyes, among other things.

He was testing the hospital administrator on if he was a good guy but he found out he wasnt. He was gonna give him the bone marrow that he needed but found out he was a bad guy who didnt deserve it.

Seven Pounds is referring to the flesh he gave away in terms of "Pounds", seven different people.
