It comes on randomly and usually goes away when I shut off car and start again. Wondering what everyone thinks it may be? I had a wire grounding on the manifold when I got the car that gave me all sorts of lights on and gm fixed it. I was thinking front wheel hubs? Sometimes when I'm stopping at slower speeds the brakes grind like abs kicks in or something. I have an extended warranty I'm gonna try to use just need to havr the $ set aside for what they don't pay. Was gonna take to gm In a few weeks. Any help is appreciated!!

if you got a warranty, use it. it could be bad hubs, bad sensor in the hub, wires.

the dealer will scan the car and track it down.

yeah ive got a feeling its a bad wire. it usually doesnt come on unless i hit a bump. honestly i love how it feels with the abs off and trac off lol. but i hate all the dash lights.

Well lights arent on when i start my car. so im assuming that means it would be the wiring or a module. I don't care if its a hub as long as my warranty covers it lol. was gonna get front rotors replaced soon anyways. wonder how bad gm will rape me on those, or if i should go to my local auto shop for that. need 4 tires and a rear alignment(idk why its outta wack)

hubs and abs repairs are covered under warranty, if you have one, aka FREE.

If the light comes on when driving, or turning or hitting bumps its more then likely a bad hub.

I've got about 80k miles on the clock. GM warranty has been gone lol. I have an extended warranty. Im guessing its a bad hub, it keeps doing it almost everytime im driving now. its random when it comes on tho.

Had the shop look at it the other day. Thankfully I have that extended warranty and they approved the repair or I would be taking the car back to the bank. 2 Bilstein struts for the rear with mounting plates, front right control arm with balljoint, front right wheel hub. $2400... The bilsteins were $450 each through dealer direct. Glad I only have to pay $100 for the whole repair job!

Also I'm getting 2 rear tires with 90% tread for $175 for the pair :).

It's gettin done at a local shop I know the owner. The only place they were able to purchase the strut from was the dealer direct route. Bilstein strut was 450 a piece. Glad it didnt come outta my pocket. Always buy extended warranties!

gmpartsdirect.. 220 for rear, 300 for front. I got mine cheaper, but I can't for the life of me remember where I ordered them. Maybe I got a receipt laying around somewhere.

The vendor they had to go thru, it's dealer cost pretty much. It's getting the tires installed in morning then a full alignment which warranty also covered :-). He said it drives so much nicer now that the parts are fixed.

thats why paying to get it scanned is worth every dollar. abs stuff is hard to track down if the obvious is not found.

my abs light had been coming on randomly since i got the car. only when you first start it up and go. tripped the light 10% of the time.

i changed my alternator 3 weeks ago and no more abs light since. the abs self check seems to be less loud too, and i dont feel it as much either.

They are sending my abs module out to MA on Monday for rebuilt. Total bill is almost $3000 and all I have to pay is $321 :-). That's for two rear tires and a deductible from warranty. Always buy extended warranties!
