Add a quart of Lucas trans fix (available at the auto parts store) Your car needs Dexron III trans fluid probably about 6 or 7 quarts plus the the Lucas should do ya.

I thought the rule was only Dexron VI, and nothing but Dexron VI, forever Dexron VI.

Does anyone know if the exhaust system from a 2006 Grand Prix GXP will fit a 2001 Grand Prix GTP? Thanks

maybe from the cat back. but the manifolds are different. and those are different body styles also, so i dont think so, but not 100 %

The catback is the same from 97-2008.

My exhaust system starting from the resonator back all needs replacing. I found a seller with a 06 GXP exhaust for sale which is why I asked the question. If anyone can confirm if this will fit that would be great.

Only info I can find is from magnaflow's website and there is a slight difference between pipe sizes. Assuming stock sizes are the same as magnaflow's sizes, can this switch be done? Anyone know if the angles and shape design is the same between the two?

Haha. No, those numbers aren't stock. All GPs have 2.5" diameter exhaust tubing.
