Ok, so ive used the search section and not finding the answers im looking for.... So basically today it was pouring out horribly i went to run a few places and while i was driving the security light started blinking like crazy... car still runs and drives fine but that light is driving me crazy.... car starts shuts off etc etc but runs normal...any help would be appreciated, like i said i tried using search and it only came up with car wont start etc etc so some help would be nice..also my airbag light is on....

What year is your car? I've found this to mean that the theft system lost it's communication or didn't see/think the right key was in the ignition after start occurs. In the older Bonnevilles etc it could mean that the trunk thought it was open and therefore the security of the car was compromised.

its a 2000 grand prix gt, what happens is my car starts fine, after about 15-45 minutes of driving the light shuts off...when i turn off the car and restart it the light starts flashing again and after the same amount of time shuts off again....my key losing its integrity??? time for a new one? or maybe a new cylinder and key??
