Security light blinking...

Ok gents (or ladies)...

The other day on my way home from work, the security light came on. Nothing happened at the time but after I parked the car, shut it down and tried to start it again... it would fire up and immediately die. So, I tried turning the key on till the security light went off (about 10 min) and it did the same thing. I unplugged the battery over night and fired it up today. It started fine and remained running but the security light is still on. Im kind of afraid to go driving around now in fear of it not starting or just randomly dying on the street. Anyone have a clue how I can go about diagnosing this and getting it to go away?

If it is a 97-03 gp I recall reading that the security system cuts fuel to the motor in case someone tries to steal it. probly would explain the stalling problem
 
****... I only have the one key (which is less than 3 months old actually cuz I lost my old ones in the snow). It doesn die anymore though now that I unplugged the bat. I might just do the hard security reset when I get home and see what happens. If that doesn work and the security light stays on would that mess with anything or would it just be annoying as long as it remains running? Also tried rewriting the PCM with no change.
