hello all I am a new owner of a 2006 Pontiac grand prix it is just a base model and I do not have pictures but it is white with dark tinted windows amdd chrome 5 spoke rims I believe.

now I searched seat swaps but everthing is for leather seats from my gen to previous gen is it safe to assume that any seat from my gen will fit.

how difficult would it be swapping leather seats into my base model and is their a heated seat I can get? if so is the wire hook ups for it just under carpet or do I need to wire it and difficulty of that?

any help or link to a thread of this would be extremely helpful

Swapping from cloth to leather is as simple as just finding the leather replacements and changing them out. As far as adding the heated seats go, I do not have the any knowledge on what exactly needs to be done, but I wouldn't think it would be that complicated once you figured out the wiring.

I found it was easiest to remove the rear bolts while sitting in the back. Move the seat forward, and the bolts are in the track. They're a large torx head, like t-40 or something iirc.

The heated seats ..I'm fairly certain there was something, maybe in How-to section? Not %100 on that.

Pretty sure you will have to have the BCM modified to allow the heated seats to work. I think they are connected to that somehow. This can be done with a Tech II scanner or at a GM dealer.

that's awesome I can put the leather in how I wanted it is just base model but still wanna feel a little more comfortable
that is a little unfortunate about the heated seats but no big deal
on the leather seats are their more adjustments with the power seats and will that already be in the harness or is it all just set up in the seat and the wires that go to the seat just for power?
and also thanks a lot for the answers guys

Um What?
No.
Heated seats have nothing to do with the BCM.
Wires go from fuse box to switch to seat heater. Easiest would be to grab the switch and the wiring going to the seat from the pick n pull.

It is all in the seat. I swapped in a seat from a 97 into my 2001 and it functioned just fine.

slick 2500 not sure if it would make a difference but if the seats are coming from a 04+ are they same just wondering from gen difference
