• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

seafoamming today...

I put 1 whole can in my gas tank, close to half a can in the crankcase and the rest in the vac line. Made a VERY noticeable difference in engine smoothness and responsiveness, and gas mileage. I'll post a link to the writeup when I get home, it's great.

Good instructions.

I have a '98 GTP and curious if there is any truth to stripping out the rotors by Seafoaming through the brake booster vacuum line. I am not sure how the middle vacuum line feeds differently through the supercharger, but it appears to be part of the same junction with the brake booster line. As for the many, many vids and write ups out there most seem to be using the brake booster.

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah my thoughts exactly it seems to go to the same place lol, that's where I put it and my rotors are fine, BUT I did notice some of the coating was missing from the actual blower when I pulled the case of to put the ported one on last week...not sure if it's just normal wear and tear or if it was the seafoam. Probably wear and tear, but you never know.

Well since replaced the SC at around 118K with rebuild from superchargers.com (about 1/3 the price of a rebuild from NAPA or GM), I can assume that there is little wear on it (at 126K now). I may try the other vacuum line, but if it doesn't draw it in, I guess it will go to the brake booster line.

Do you recommend changing out the PCV, plugs, fuel filter before seafoaming or after. Does it really matter?

Thanks.

Change the plugs and the oil for sure. I totally forgot about replacing the fuel filter, whoops.
