I have a 99 gt and the front struts are done they squeak everytime i go over a bump or hit a pothole. So I'm thinking of going cheap right now And going to like apick a part And getting it myself. But I'm wondering is there any difference In the se from the gt suspension or can I just swap out the two and be done with it?

from experience of owning an se and gtp, all looks and feels identical to me.My se is a 3800, tho i dought that makes a defference from 3100

Looking on RockAuto, it lists the same assemblies for SE (3.1Lv6) and the GT(3.8Lv6). and they're like $60 each for the econos. How cheap are you planning to go? In all honesty, anything you get from the JY will be comparable to the condition you've got now...look into getting new ones - they're not horrible for price.

I put the econos on my wife's van a few years ago and they were fine. Granted - it's a mini-van, but they felt really good. On RockAuto, you can get the next step into the "original ride quality" segment for like $95 each or something like that. And that's the one piece quick-strut type thing...strut, springs, mounts...1 piece to change out.
