SD headers o2- relocation

Ok so as it says I have SD headers and know that the o2 needs relocating. My question is where is a good spot? Also I have EGR block off kit how does that install? And also I bought a Bosch o2 for when I install, heard some mixed thing's about Bosch. But I should be fine right?

you might not need to move it at all, on some car it fits perfect and other all you gotta do it beat the firewall in with a hammer and make a little extra room for when the motor moves under power.

a good spot is on the rear header where it connects to the crossover pipe. sure, it only reads the front bank, but it only needs to read the front to run the car well. it'll be extra easy to change.

Couldn't agree more. Thats exactly what I did and it has worked great. Sorry for the crap cell phone pic but you get the idea.

Putting it in the front crossover seems like a great idea until a rear injector goes lean or rich and then your fueling doesn't change and your motor has the potential for larger problems like chunking a piston. Yes it works, no most would never have an issue, but I wouldn't want to be that guy.

Your Bosch sensor will likely die in less than two months. For an unknown reason our cars chew up and spit out Bosch O2 sensors and Bosch plugs. It's a fact. Rockauto usually has denso's for $35

On the location, if you bolt the rear header up with two bolts, lift the subframe back up and mark the location of the front o2 on the tunnel, then lower and remove rear header again (subframe method is that easy :th_thumbsup-wink:) then take a hammer or in my case an air hammer and move the firewall slightly, you are all set.

You do not want to use the post cat bung because it is too far from the engine and the exhaust has a chance to cool.
