i got speed daddy headers. i started installing them today but ran into a problem. i got manifolds off but i cant seem to get the rear header to go down in. i have front two mounts off n ratcheted the engine back as far as the ratches will go. so the question is why cant i get the rear header to go down in?
thank u in advance for any help u can tell me.

it took me a hour and a half to wiggle it just gotta keep wigglin another thing i had to do was remove the trans dipstick make sure the engine is as far forward as possible other than that keep wigglin

I think i pulled the map bracket off and the egr bracket. you have to put the rear on first or you cant get the engine far enough forward .

also seems like common sense but you have to do it from the top and drop the down pipe in first.

i then had some one help me wiggle it into place

lol ya make sure the front header is off i had a ratching strap tied to the snout and had the engine as far forward as possible than wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle

i dont have the front on. its strapped forward. we wiggled n pried for 3 hrs n no success. would it help if put it on jack stands instead of ramps?

I dropped the back of the cradle down a little and it slid right in from below. Just support the car just behind the cradle with jackstands, put jack at rear of cradle, then remove rear two cradle bolts and slowly lower jack. It should go right in.

way too much effort for the cradle thing. i ran into this very same problem when i did mine last week. someone mentioned to take out the trans dip stick. it is bolted to the trans with an 8 or 10mm socket and it pulls out. just wiggle the thing in from the drivers side, and ya the k member might get in the way. just gotta slowly maneuver it in there, itll go. the front is also gunna be a pain, just kinda twist that one in. i had a huge problem with the crossover going together with the two headers. i would get one side on but the other side wouldnt go together. i ended up ratchet strapping the rear driver side of the header and pulled it onto the crossover.

rock that engine ALL the way forward. the smallest amount will make the biggest difference. then just make yourself and take the rear valve cover off, put a towel over it, and hit it down there. worked for me. wish i just did that first rather than messing around forever trying to figure it out.

I've installed nearly every type of header on the market. For me removing two subframe bolts and being done in 20 minutes with the rear header is the best way to go. Doing the dipstick in the car loses trans fluid, makes a mess etc. My suggestion is lower the subframe.

As for getting SD's together. This is a series of light taps with a rubber mallet while tightening the front up. Takes almost no time and is done.

Average set of headers takes me about 2-3 hours complete

Dropping the rear subframe sounds like it would be a big job but it really is two bolts and lower the jack. Its that easy. Good luck.

well i tried everything and dropping the cradle worked best. took 20 min compared to 3 hrs tryn to wiggle it down in! thank u every1. but now the top sensor is way to short to plug in. wat did u do about this?

It says you do in the header and mainfold thread, If you can solder you can make your own by extending the engine side of the harness.
