• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Screwed up???

Ok will somebody go and take your icm plug off and see if your white wire with black stripe is going into 2 wires,I think somebody soldered them

Bill help me lol,it seems to be 2 extra wires a black with white stripe and yellowish or white with black stripe, are there any other 3.8s that use a different harness that dosent use the same as the gtp

Ok just to be 100% clear,my white with black stripe is going into 2 yellow with black stripes,it's hard to tell and then 1 with black stripe going into 2 blacks with white stripes, thanks and ill get a better pic of the wires tomorrow

Can somebody tell me how to get that harness off,I know there are a few grounds bolted on but what else do I need to get out

If I remember right, you unplug the ICM, unplug the crankshaft sensor, unplug the camshaft sensor, and unbolt the ground at the top of the ICM bracket (connected to the top bolt coming out of the head itself - facing the passenger side). After than, proceed to fillet your hand fishing the harness out, while trying to remember how is was ran so you can put it back...fillet your hand again.

Ok to be 100% sure the cam sensor is basically to the left of the crank pulley if you were looking at the pulley with the tire off,so only 1 ground?

Yep. the plug of the cam sensor faces down and to the back, so the wire is run behind the top of the HB (in a groove) and has enough slack to plug into the sensor. Take a wire brush to the grounding points as well, you want that to be a solid ground.

Update:the wires came from factory that way,I found a wiring diagram but that dosent exsplain my rpm hand not reading, what's next???

I know where that is but we found the cam sensor,it's never been plugged up I guess or the oil sensor, idk how it was running, maybe my rpm will work now since it seems to be hooked up right
