you may want to check out laws regarding the music, the way the music industry has sued for copyright infringement, myspace pays a fee to use songs I know

Generally speaking, as long as it is not used in a commercial venture, you're fine. But that said, I would prefer something like Ron Vogels music because we could get permission directly from him. They also have free music available that you can use too as long as it is not in a commercial application.

how about the downloaders from napster? if you offer it as a download it may cause issues (and would suck)

Yeah, if you buy it and then give it to me, then that would violate the copyright according to the RIAA anyway.

Octane is a local band here in Philly that has gotten a bit of radio airplay, and their song "Gasoline" is a good old fashioned rock song that has a bit of a Lynyrd Skynyrd feel through most of the song that eventually gets a little bit heavier, but not much heavier then something you'd expect from Live.
You can hear the song on their Myspace page ........... Octane
If we did decide to use the song, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem letting us use it if we asked them.

Are you kidding me? I like Neil Sedaka, Neil Diamond, Linda Rhonstat, Carly Simon. Well I used to listen to that kind of music a lot. I listen to more oldie type music, 80's and I love good heavy hitting upbeat instrumentals.
The language in todays music has really turned me off to a lot of it so Ive been looking for more and more instrumental type stuff. I dont need to be cussed at every third word to get the point.

A. I have no preference, just choose something good (ANYTHING involving driving is ok with me!!) ((As long as it aint Country *grins* ))

B. Ive got pictures in that range, just let me know if you need them (You already have mine)
I can understand you being torn on what music to play. I think MAYBE you should allow the individual users of the screensaver to maybe add their own special song to their SS? Or maybe allow it to be customized to that users specific soundtrack?

car is burried under winter storage right now, and will be till next year 2009 after I move befor it comes out. Althou I do have pics on my HD, that are the same as the ones I gave you from the website that are 1120x840. If you want them, I would have to meet up with you in MSN or Yahoo to send them cause of the size limits on email.
And I will give everyone a teaser. I have a screensaver/movie that was made by a member of W-Body.com Home and its pretty good. Good music, pics, vids. My car only makes one apearance in it. But some of the other cars are spectacular.
