Screeching from wheel

Hello all! Not quite sure what is wrong, so maybe someone can shed some light on this for me. While I'm driving close to a median/curb I can hear a screeching coming from my wheel. At first I thought it was my brakes needing to be changed. After replacing them, the noise still occurs. Anyone had a similar problem and know what it could be?

Are you driving on the paint? Depending upon the tread design, you might get a different pitch of sound when on the flat surface from the paint.

No, I've noticed it even when driving on some roads out here in my town that don't have paint

jack up both front wheels, put it in neutral and see how the wheel spins vs the other one. also check for play by pushing and pulling the top of the tire. if it moves the hub is bad.

my left front hub is failing to spin freely, no sounds yet but i feel it making the car pull a bit and it the car feels heavy as soon as i let off the gas. so im doing a hub tomorrow it seems.

Thank you, will look into it. My moms boyfriend said he'd replace my wheel bearings for me last month and ever since then I've had nothing but problems. Never doing that again lol

what a wheel hub? those are easy peasy. ill have mine done in like a hour or so with the trip to the parts store included. this will be my third time doing a front. not to bad really.

Check that the backing plate isn't rubbing the back of the rotor. I had a screeching problem and thats what it turned out to be.

Either that or check that the brake pad clips aren't bent and stuck up under the caliper. Just saw this issue and everything braking-wise was fine, but had a faint metal on metal sound.
